Company History ...

John's Auto Repairs was founded in 1998 by John Palmowski, who has over 35 years experience within the Motor Industry. John first worked for his father (Mario Palmowski) helping run the family business "Central Garage" on Beartree Road in Parkgate, Rotherham, which later moved onto Alwarke Road, Parkgate, Rotherham. During this time John studied at Rotherham Technical College and gained his City & Guilds Qualifications, and went on to specialise in Engine and Gearbox rebuilding at Central Garage.

John next went on to work as Depot Engineer and Worshop Manager for two multi-national companies as well as a spell at two Ford Main Dealers (the later being a regional Cosworth Agent) and then finally specialising in BMW, Audi and German cars.

In 1998 John decided it was time to work for himself and John's Auto Repairs was created. Starting from modest beginnings in a small workshop in Rawmarsh, the business rapidly expanded, growing by customers word of mouth on "how well their car had been repaired" and "how professional they had been dealt with". This led to acquiring Unit 13 Hillside Court, on Barbot Hall Industrial Estate in Rotherham during 2000.

This unit was fully fitted out with 2 x 2 post ramps, 1 x 4 post ramp (to accommodate larger vehicles), engine re-conditioning area, cylinder head re-conditioning area and 2 x general maintenance bays and also features full office and stores facilities (see our 'Gallery' section for Photo's). Over the last 6 years money has been invested in the business to make John's Auto Repairs a state of the art repair facility which can now rival many main dealers, including full engine diagnostics and repair facilities for modern cars equipped with state-of-the-art ECU's. John's Auto Repairs is capable of handling virtually any vehicle on the road today. The business is still expanding and with the diverse experience of the expert team (see our 'Meet The Team' section) you can be sure your car is in safe, qualified and professional hands.
